Petaluma Community Center (Lucchesi)
Saturday September 15, 2007

W
elcome back to a brand new and exciting year of engaging opportunities with AAUW
friends and associates. We begin the year with the September Social on Saturday,
September 15th from 1 - 4 pm at the Petaluma Community Center (Lucchesi).
Our Keynote Speaker is Shirley Ryan, local author and Life Coach. Her topic is " New Visions, New Horizons." Re-
charge your life by learning how to build relationships and improve your communication skills. Life works in a simple
way. You get back what you send out - essentially, the Law of Attraction.
September is a great time to invite your friends to come and check out AAUW.
Not only is the September Social a
great chance to meet people and find out what is going on in the branch, it is also bargain time for new members! New
members who sign up at the social on September 15th will get 1/2 off the Association portion of the dues. To make the
deal a bit sweeter, the branch is also offering 1/2 off its portion of the dues for these new members. So, instead of $81
for the year, the total will be $48.50.
Not sure if youve rejoined? Email notification of the Perspective that included the phrase time to rejoin or a mailing
label with Jun 07 on it indicate weve not received your dues yet. Dues of $81 should be sent to Corey Benjamin.
Contact Rory Keller, 763-2072, for mailing address or more information.
Back by popular demand will be our annual bake sale, a fundraiser for the Legal Advocacy Fund. (See page 3 for more
details on how you can participate).
For the remainder of the 2007 -
2008 year, look forward to a variety of programs. Learn more about: Steroid use in
Sports; Life Long Learning at Sonoma State University; Travel Adventures; Autism; and Petaluma Women's History
(AAUW 's contribution to the Petaluma Sesquicentennial Celebration). Also, take time to enjoy yourself by attending the
Holiday Tea featuring a sample of local theater performances, relax at our first ever "Spa Night" and meet our newest
Named Gift Honoree at the Installation Meeting in May 2008.
A complete listing of all programs dates, times and locations is on this website, will be available at the Social, and
will also be sent to you in a one time special postcard mailing. Look for it in early September.
